At Andover Newton Theological School, the country's oldest graduate school of theology, women and men receive high-quality academic and practical skills for ordained and lay ministries. A pioneer in Clinical Pastoral Education and Field Education, the school also incorporates a multicultural focus and new programs in Theology and the Arts and Faith/Health/ Spirituality. Andover Newton has the largest UCC enrollment nationally, comprising thirty- eight percent of the school's students. They join over thirty other denominations to create a lively, ecumenical environment for theological inquiry set on our scenic, hilltop campus seven miles west of Boston. Students find a community of passionate teachers who challenge them to think more deeply about their faith and world. Further classes are available through the Boston Theological Institute, a consortium of nine theological schools. Our alumni/ae include pastors serving churches nationwide and also chaplains, counselors, advocates, educators, missionaries, artists, and leaders of denominations. The school offers Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Doctor of Ministry ,and Sacred Theology Master degrees.

A significant number of endowed scholarships help underwrite nearly fifty percent of tuition for UCC students enrolled in the Master of Divinity program. Approximate enrollment: 450.

Bangor Theological Seminary, an ecumenical seminary in the Congregational tradition of the United Church of Christ, was founded in 1814. Committed to equiping men and women for the work of Christian ministries, the seminary offers courses in the Bible, theology, ethics, pastoral ministry, religion, and service in contemporary society. With campuses in Bangor and Portland, Maine, the seminary provides opportunities for individualized learning in a supportive atmosphere. Programs of study are also offered in New Hampshire and Vermont. The unique Bangor Plan makes it possible for students to obtain both an undergraduate and graduate degree through the seminary's affiliation with the University of Maine and St.Joseph's College. Students and faculty represent diverse backgrounds and denominations. Bangor Theological Seminary offers the Master of Divinity, the Master of Arts, and the Doctor of Ministry degrees. An active program of Continuing Education offers a certificate program in Small Church Leadership.

Chicago Theological Seminary is a graduate school of theology of the United Church of Christ. Founded in 1855, and the oldest institution of higher learning in Chicago, CTS seeks to be an international force for greater justice and mercy. Degree programs encourage academic excellence and free inquiry, and focus on leadership issues with a goal of bringing about cooperation between diverse communities of faith and community-based organizations that are working to transform lives and neighborhoods. CTS currently enrolls 212 students from more than 22 religious traditions. Approximate enrollment: 212.

Eden Theological Seminary is a graduate school preparing women and men for ordained Christian ministry.A seminary of the United Church of Christ with ecumenical commitments, Eden has approximately two hundred students enrolled in both degree and non-degree programs. Students represent a wide range of ethnic and social backgrounds and eighteen denominations including the United Church of Christ, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), United Methodist, American Baptist, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Roman Catholic, and the African Episcopal Zion Church. Its student body is made up of an equal number of women and men.

Now in its 150th year, Eden remains committed to the church and the community. Eden Theological Seminary welcomes graduate students from a wide range of settings and denominations and is home to internationally-known scholars who serve on the faculty. Eden offers four degree programs: Masters of Divinity (M.Div.), Masters of Theological Studies (M.T.S.), Masters of Arts in Pastoral Studies (M.A.P.S.), and Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.).

Eden provides Heritage Scholarships to UCC students enrolled in the M.Div. program that covers seventy-five percent of tuition, and Seminary Scholarships to UCC students enrolled in the M.T.S.program cover fifty percent of tuition. Approximate enrollment: 200.

A community of faith, learning, and worship, Lancaster Theological Seminary has been a school of the church for over 175 years. The degree programs are designed to be both intellectually stimulating and helpful to students as they deepen their understanding of their call to ministry, strengthen their gifts, and prepare for service. Classroom and knowledge are joined to church and faith to provide the spiritual leaders of tomorrow. Major components of the curriculum are field education, classroom courses, and cross-cultural opportunities. Together, a diverse and ecumenical faculty and student body combine to create an atmosphere of academics, spirituality, creativity, and personal growth. Lancaster offers three degree programs: M.Div., M.A.R., D.Min. Approximate enrollment: 150.

Pacific School of Religion educates leaders for ministries of justice and compassion in historic- and emerging-faith communities. A UCC seminary, the Pacific School of Religion welcomes students from over forty denominational traditions. The Pacific School of Religion is a member of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in the San Francisco Bay area and has full access to the faculty, curricula, and libraries of the GTU 's nine seminaries and eleven affiliated centers, as well as the University of California at Berkeley. Special resources include the Institute for Leadership Development and Study of Pacific and Asian North American Religion, the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry, the Congregational Leadership Program, and the Bay Area Faith and Health Consortium. PSR faculty also teach in the areas of ethics, biblical studies, worship and the arts, history, feminist theology, pastoral care, educational ministries, spirituality, and multicultural studies. PSR offers the M.Div., M.T.S.and D.Min. degrees and the M.A.through the GTU.

Hartford Seminary offers Doctor of Ministry and Master of Arts degrees and graduate certificates. ITC is an ecumenical, interracial, international center for professional graduate theological education. It is comprised of six historically African American seminaries and welcomes students from many denominations. The curriculum is grounded in an understanding of the Christian faith that affirms liberation, wholeness, justice, righteousness, reconciliation, and love. The Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico, created in 1919, is an interdenominational institution of theological education at the graduate level. The Divinity School is the only non-denominational, university-based theological school in the South.
